Corn, Glorious Corn!

The corn season has started a little late this year but it was worth the wait! We are buying our corn from Jerry Smith Farm, located in Kenosha only 5 minutes from our warehouse. Smith Farms grows the bi-color variety and has some of the best corn around. Look to see this last into October. 

I’ve asked local farmers over the years, what is the best way to store corn? They all have said, “Corn is best enjoyed as soon as possible, the fresher the corn the sweeter it is!”.  However, if you have to store it, it can last up to 7 days in the refrigerator but find the coolest place.
